Career Mentoring Program

In an effort to help support the staff of Fire Mountain and the members of the Fire Mountain Staff Alumni Association, the FMSAA has created the "FMSAA Career Mentoring Program".

The purpose of this program is to provide members of the camp staff and alumni association with contacts in many business and career fields. Through these contacts the individual has the ability to investigate many different career fields by talking with people who have been associated with scouting and Fire Mountain. These mentoring relationships may just be a few exchanged e-mails, or perhaps it could lead to internships or full-time positions.

Currently we have mentors representing the following career fields:

If you are interested in making contact with a mentor and you have a Facebook.com account, then join the group called, Fire Mountain Scout Camp. There you will find a discussion post with name, career field and contact information. If you don't yet have a Facebook.com account, you may create one for free. If Facebook just isn't your thing, feel free to contact Lynn Strub with the career field you are interested in and we can provide the contact information for a mentor that can help you.

For those of you who are interested in becoming a mentor in the FMSAA Career Mentoring Program, please send Lynn a note with your name, career field, business (optional) and the best form of contact and we will add you to the list of mentors.
